Dr. Karlin graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She received her Ph.D from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, an affiliate of Albert Einstein School of Medicine, and completed two predoctoral fellowships at Yale University focusing on children and families. She also completed three years of postdoctoral training at the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. This training focused on all aspects of clinical work with adults and children.
Her published dissertation is “The Interaction and Attitudes of Teen Mothers towards their Babies.”
